So much stuff and AN AWESOME VIDEO

There has been a lot of 'stuff' going on. This will be a longer post because I have so much to share! Also, there will be numerous videos and pictures because our little stinker is thriving!

  • We have Jack's EUA (eye exam under anesthesia/probable eye surgery to help Jack's eye produce more lubricant/teeth x-ray and cleaning:  7/18/13.
  • Jack got sick a couple of weeks ago and, well, that was a mess. Literally.
    • His body felt hot to the touch for a few weeks (vomited a couple of times at school while NOT screaming) and then he started having very odd smelling urine. A fever came the day we saw his new pediatrician (Our beloved pediatrician moved back to her home state of CO and we are very sad about that). We scheduled a catheter urine test, thinking it was a UTI but the labs came back clear (except for some odd numbers with WBC, Keytones, and Crystals even though Jack isn't dehydrated). He also developed a cough. Jack ended up missing an entire week of school. He returned the next week and decided that he would vomit during Physical Therapy while he wasn't even throwing that much of a fit, and then the next day while still on the bus! That poor bus driver. I guess he pulled over and got very nervous and made some calls and even tried to call me (Never got a call). Jack made a mess of himself (all clothes, socks, braces, shoes, face, ears, hair), his wheelchair, and a great deal of the bus. We have made the decision to skip the bus for the remaining two weeks of school because of heat. Jack already doesn't do well in hot weather and I can't imagine his condition after sitting on a bus without air conditioning for 25 minutes in hot weather. We are also having him stay inside for recess when it's over 80 degrees.
  • Jack has pulled-up to the couch without requiring my hands for assistance!
  • We are in the middle of an experimentation with Jack's night time feeds. Instead of feeding him for 8 hours straight, we're giving him two 90 minute feeds. So far, so good! He isn't waking up fussing and then crying from abdominal discomfort, which is what we think was happening because as soon as we turned off his food he'd stop fussing and sleep VERY well.
  • We are switching GI doctors, again. I'm taking Jackson back to St. Louis Children's. We'll be seeing someone new. I believe Jack belongs with a GI at that hospital with his odd gut!
  • I have several pictures and videos to share... Here we go... I hope the videos open... I understand that I recorded one without turning my phone. I was so excited about what Jack was doing, I forgot to turn my phone to record it widescreen!

Here's a picture of Jack at school. He sits at the table just like the other kids! They are playing with play-doh.
Jack decided to feed himself a Cheerio, an Animal Cracker, and a couple of magnetic letters!
